Group leaders look clearer as Argentina, Canada close out pool play with shutout wins



On the final day of men’s pool play at the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile it was Canada and Argentina who close out their respective pools with shutout wins to secure the top of their pools. For Pool B, Canada took down Trinidad and Tobago 4-0, while in Pool A, Argentina put up a whopping 22-0 over Peru thanks to eight goals from forward Tomas Domene.





United States and hosts, Chile move on to men’s semifinals



On the final day of men’s pool play at the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, the United States came out with a 5-1 win thanks to four goals from penalty corner ace Aki Kaeppeler. Chile took down Mexico 5-0 to also secure second spot out of Pool A. The wins seed USA and Chile in second place of their pools, setting up a semifinal battle between Canada and Chile and then Argentina and USA.

In a picturesque morning setting at the Pan American Games, the Canadian Men’s National Team delivered a decisive 4-0 performance against Trinidad and Tobago in their final group stage match. With their eyes set on claiming the top spot in the group, the Canadians did what they had to do on the field and secured a convincing victory.





Tomas Domene achieved a landmark

Argentina defeated Peru by a massive margin 22-0 in the men's hockey event in the Pan American Games 2023 in Santiago, Chile, during the course of the match Tomas Domene of Argentina achieved a significant distinction by scoring 8 goals in the match.

SANTIAGO, Chile – At a packed Centre Deportivo de Hockey Césped, the No. 16 U.S. Women’s National Team knew they were up against a tough opponent in No. 3 Argentina in their second pool game of the Pan American Games Santiago 2023. USA got on the board first but the Las Leonas responded with five unanswered for a final of 1-5.

Mixed fortunes for Kenyan sides in Olympic qualifiers

Kenya Men and Women's Hockey Teams registered mixed results as the Africa Road to Paris 2024 got off at the University of Pretoria in South Africa on Sunday.

The South African Hockey Men would have felt inspired by the performances of their countrymen the Springboks, Proteas and Brad Binder ahead of the tournament opener against Zimbabwe at the African Hockey Road to Paris 2024 Qualifier.





10 out of 10 for SA women in Opening Game



In the afterglow of a tremendous sporting evening for South Africa as the Springboks lifted a fourth World Cup title, the South African Women’s Hockey team began their quest to earn a place at the Paris Olympics in 2024. Their opening fixture at the African Hockey Road to Paris 2024 Qualifier saw them face Southern African rivals Zimbabwe.

India looks to avenge Asian Games loss to China in Women’s Champions Trophy 2023

Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2023: It will not just be a grudge match but also a chance for India to reassert its status as the top-ranked side in the competition.

The Indian women’s hockey team has had little trouble at the Asian Champions Trophy here so far but the real challenge will begin on Monday when it takes on recently-crowned Asian Games champion China.

The prestigious tournament is scheduled to be held from 29th November to 10th December 2023



New Delhi: With just a month to go for the eagerly-anticipated FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup 2023, preparations are up and running for the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team as they aim to lift the prestigious trophy. The FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup 2023 will be held in Santiago, Chile, from 29th November to 10th December 2023. A total of 16 teams will be taking part in the FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup 2023.

Rotterdam was put on display by Oranje-Rood on Sunday. In the top match in Eindhoven it was no less than 6-3 for the home team. At halftime it was already 4-1 for the hosts, who used their chances very effectively. For Rotterdam it was the third loss in a row after previous defeats against Kampong and Pinoké.





Thundersticks Women go top as HC Melbourne Men dazzle in Perth



Perth Thundersticks remain the only undefeated women’s team, while HC Melbourne Men produced a scintillating performance to close out Round 4 of the JDH Hockey One League 2023 Season at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University this afternoon.





Hockey One enjoys record crowds – Can we beat it this week?



It has been a terrific start to the 2023 JDH Hockey One season with bumper crowds attending matches across the country and enjoying some thrilling hockey action. Last weekend our NSW Pride men’s and women’s team journeyed to the nation’s capital to take on Canberra Chill in front of a parochial crowd of over 2,000 territorians. This attendance figure surpassed the Brisbane Blaze versus NSW Pride number of 1,700 only a few short weeks ago.





Top sides piled in the goals in the Scottish men`s Premiership and in the women`s there were wins for GHK and St Andrews University

No change in the top three with wins for Grange, Western Wildcats and Edinburgh University – they scored 20 goals between them. GHK scored nine and St Andrews University four in the two women`s games that were played.

Field Hockey Concludes Season With Shootout Loss At La Salle

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA. – The Providence College field hockey team concluded its 2023 season with a 2-1 loss at La Salle. The game was deadlocked at 1-1 after regulation and a pair of overtime sessions before the Explorers used a 2-1 advantage in the shootout to decide the match. The Friars finish the year with a 10-8 record, while La Salle improved to 13-5.
