Argentina tops Pool B with big win, Canada oust Mexico to seal semifinal spot



On the final day of women’s pool play it was a convincing 21-0 victory for the Argentina Leonas at the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. Canada beat Mexico 5-0 to seal up second spot in Pool B. With the wins, Argentina and Canada move on to the semi-final rounds and will play each other in the cross-over.





USA and Chile lock in for semifinals despite gritty final pool play games



It wasn’t easy but the job was done and the USA advance to the semifinals after a 3-0 win over Uruguay to top Pool A, while Chile edged a spirited Cuba side 2-0 to top Pool B on Day 6 of the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. The USA will face Chile in their cross-over match up for a spot in the finals.

Canadian field hockey fans had reason to cheer today as the Women’s National Team secured a convincing 5-0 victory over Mexico in the final group stage match at the 2023 Pan American Games. The win assured Canada’s place in the semifinals and a date with Argentina.

SANTIAGO, Chile – The No. 23 U.S. Men’s National Team faced No. 35 Brazil in their final pool game of the Pan American Games Santiago 2023. USA jumped to an early 2-0 first quarter lead and added another two in the second. The Wolves sealed it with one more in the third on their way to a 5-1 win.

Kenya Women's Hockey team Monday booked their spot in the semi-finals of the 2024 African Hockey Olympic qualifiers with a match to spae after a 3 - 2 win over Ghana at the University of Pretoria, South Africa





South Africa Hockey Men put one foot in the Semi-Final with Nigerian win.



Due to other results in the pool, the South African Hockey Men knew they could not mathematically secure a semi-final spot, but they could all but virtually assure they would be in the final four with a victory over Nigeria.

The South African Hockey Women secured their place in the semi-final of the African Hockey Road to Paris 2024 Qualifier on a cold evening at Tuks Sport in Pretoria. Having beaten Zimbabwe 10-0 on the opening night the South Africans knew anything other than defeat would secure a place in the final four.

South Africa won their second African Hockey Road to Paris 2024 Qualifier tie against Nigeria 4-0 in inclement conditions on Monday evening, and had to put in a big effort to maintain their Group A leader position at the Olympic qualifier tournament, at the Tuks Hockey Astro in Pretoria, Tshwane, South Africa, on Monday, 31 October, 2023.

It was supposed to be the best contest of the tournament, and it veritably turned out to be so. Host India and the reigning Asian Champions China dished out an exciting stuff at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh hockey stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand on Day 3 of the Jharkhand Asian Champions Trophy, and thankfully crowd favourite India emerged victor (2-1).
