Granatto superb as Argentina take out USA, Uruguay blast past TTO



Day 4 of the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile opened with Pool A play and Uruguay settling on a comfortable 11-0 score line over Trinidad and Tobago, while Argentina scored five unanswered goals to win 5-1 over the USA. Pool A is shaping up with the Leonas on top with six points, while Uruguay and Argentina will do battle to make the cross-over matches.





Chile dazzle home crowd with win over Canada as Cuba, Mexico draw in Pool B play



Day 4 of the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile featured two tightly contested matches in women’s Pool B play. Despite dominating the play Mexico trailed by a goal before tying Cuba and hanging for the 1-1 draw. A jam-packed Estadio National roared on the Diablas who scored two goals late in the third quarter to beat Canada 2-0.

In an electrifying showdown at the 2023 Pan American Games, the Women’s National Team faced off against a spirited Chilean side in front of a raucous, sold-out crowd in Santiago. The match had all the intensity and drama one could hope for in a critical group stage tilt. The horns, the chants, the cheering, the flag waving; the crowd noise was deafening at field-level.

Jharkhand Women's Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023: India and Japan Secure Consecutive Wins, China Opens Its Account



Ranchi: The Indian women's hockey team continued their excellent performance at the Marang Gomke Jaypal Singh Munda AstroTurf Hockey Stadium here on Saturday, securing their consecutive second victory at the Jharkhand Women's Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023. The host team, India, defeated Thailand 7-1 in their first match and then emerged victorious against Malaysia with a scoreline of 5-0 in their second match.

Ranchi: The Indian Women’s Hockey Team registered their second consecutive victory at the Jharkhand Women's Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023 campaign in a high scoring encounter on Saturday. Team India defeated Malaysia 5-0 in their second game of the tournament. Vandana Katariya (7’, 21’), Sangita Kumari (28’), Lalremsiami (28’), and Jyoti (38’) were the goalscorers for India.

Johor Bahru (Malaysia): Indian Colts registered a stunning 3-1 victory against hosts Malaysia in the 11th Sultan of Johor Cup 2023 after goals from Aditya Lalage (28’), Amandeep Lakra (37’) and Rohit (54’). Meanwhile, Suhaimi Irfan Shahmie (13') scored the lone goal for Malaysia. After this win, India sit on top of Pool B in the table.

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison field hockey team (8-8, 3-3 PL) completed an undefeated 2023 home schedule (7-0) by defeating the Colgate Raiders (3-13, 0-6 PL) 5-0 at Holmes Stadium on a balmy Saturday. Bucknell scored tallied goals in the first three periods to comfortably cruise to a victory. Lily Neilson scored twice and supplied an assist to senior Rachel Apa. Kira Leclercq added another goal, as did Mia Fields. The Bison already clinched the final tournament spot thanks to Lehigh's Friday night loss to Lafayette, but Bucknell enters the PL Championships with additional momentum. The Bison have made the Patriot League Tournament for the 16th consecutive season.
