Domene double lift Argentina over hosts Chile, Mexico blast six past Peru



Day 3 action from men’s Pool A play at the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile featured a spirited Peru team scoring a goal despite Mexico walking away with a 6-1 victory. Argentina took down Chile 3-1 in front of a boisterous home crowd under the lights.

In a thrilling 49th parallel showdown at the Pan American Games, Canada’s Men’s National Team displayed sheer grit and determination as they rallied back from an early 1-0 deficit to secure a crucial 2-1 victory against the USA. The Red Caribou showcased their mettle and resilience on the field, clawing back from 1-0 and controlling the final three quarters of play.





SA Hockey Men named for African Hockey Road to Paris 2024 Qualifier



South African Hockey has today announced the SA Hockey Men’s team for the African Hockey Road to Paris 2024. The tournament offers the winner a place at the Paris Olympics while the second placed team will be invited to the FIH Olympic Qualifiers to be held in January.

India and Pakistan battle to 3-3 draw

KUALA LUMPUR: India and Pakistan opened their Sultan of Johor Cup hockey campaign with a fast moving 3-3 draw at the Taman Daya Stadium in Johor Baru today.

Johor Bahru (Malaysia),: Defending Champions Indian Junior Men's Hockey Team came from behind twice after trailing by a goal to hold nemesis Pakistan to a 3-3 draw in a thrilling opening match here at the Sultan of Johor Cup on Friday. It was goals by Amandeep Lakra (30'), Aditya Arjun Lalage (56') and Uttam Singh (59') that ensured India earned a point from the draw while Arbaz Ahmad (31', 58') and Abdul Shahid (49') scored for Pakistan.

KUALA LUMPUR: A major scare unfolded in the national junior hockey camp when skipper Faris Harizan had to be stretchered off during the match against New Zealand on Friday, raising concerns that he might miss the ongoing Sultan of Johor Cup (SoJC) at the Taman Daya Stadium in Johor Baru.





Fixtures released for the FIH Hockey5s World Cup



FIH today announced the fixtures for the inaugural FIH Hockey5s World Cup in Oman in January. The draw had already been announced earlier in the year, but the South African Women Hockey5s team now know their schedule for the historic event.

Duke field hockey is playing white hot, bleeding Duke Blue and living green. The second-ranked Blue Devils, sporting a 14-2 overall record, put together a record 11-game win streak and currently sit in a tie at the top of the ACC with a perfect 5-0 mark. And they do it all while personifying what it means to be a Duke student-athlete.

Scarlet Knights finish regular season in second place in the Big Ten



IOWA CITY, Iowa – No. 3 Rutgers field hockey concluded the regular season on Friday evening, falling 7-2 at No. 8 Iowa. The Scarlet Knights finish the regular season at 15-2 overall and 6-2 in Big Ten play. Iowa improved to 13-4 overall, 4-4 in Big Ten play. The Scarlet Knights finished the season in second place in the Big Ten, matching 6-2 conference records with Maryland, who RU beat during the regular season.





Ohio Field Hockey Falls to Appalachian State in Overtime


 
BOONE, North Carolina – Ohio field hockey (6-8) lost to Appalachian State (13-4) Friday (Oct. 27) by a score of 2-3 in overtime Friday (Oct. 27). With her two assists on Friday, Katelyn Whittle recorded her 100th career point, making her only the fourth Bobcats in program history to score at least 100 career points.  





Field Hockey Falls to VCU at Home



RICHMOND, Va. – In a defensive Atlantic 10 Conference battle, the University of Richmond Field Hockey team was able to even the score in the first quarter, but the crosstown rival VCU collected a 3-1 victory Friday afternoon at Crenshaw Field.

Burlington, Vt.– Isabella Del Vecchio's 59th-minute goal proved to be the winner as 19th-ranked UAlbany (12-5, 7-1) defeated the Catamounts (8-9, 4-4) on Senior Day.

DURHAM, N.H. – The California field hockey team opened a crucial weekend with a huge 3-1 road win over New Hampshire on Friday afternoon. The Golden Bears got goals from Bente Baekers and Daniella Rhodes, with Baekers scoring her 100th career goal in the win.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan State traveled to Ann Arbor to face rival no. 16 Michigan in a battle for the final B1G tournament spot.  It resulted in a heartbreaking 1-0 double-overtime loss.





McClay’s Goal Not Enough to Lift Field Hockey Past Miami

Pien Elsen Scores the Game-Winning Goal in Double Overtime to Send the Dragons to the CAA Tournament

DEDHAM, MASS. – Pien Elsen scored a pair of goals including the game-winner in double overtime to send Drexel to the CAA Tournament. The Dragons defeated Northeastern, 3-2 on Friday evening in Massachusetts. With the victory, Drexel matched its highest win total since 2013, at 13-5, it closes out conference play at 4-2. Drexel claimed the No. 2 seed in the CAA Tournament.





Minutewomen Earn Third Straight Shutout In Season Finale Victory Over Lock Haven



UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Massachusetts (12-6, 5-2) ended the regular season in style claiming a 3-0 victory over Lock Haven (5-11, 2-5) in University Park, Pennsylvania. The clean sheet marks the fifth shutout victory for the Minutewomen this season and their first on the road.   





Massachusetts Earns No. 2 Seed In A-10 Tournament

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The University of Massachusetts field hockey team has earned the No. 2 seed in the 2023 Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Championship Tournament, the league announced on Friday evening. The Minutewomen finished the season with a 12-6 record on the season and a 5-2 mark in conference play.





No. 9 Field Hockey Heads to Cornell for Season Finale



CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 9 Harvard field hockey heads to Ithaca to face off in a massive game against No. 17 Cornell on Saturday. After winning at least a share of the Ivy championship last weekend, Harvard looks to not only claim sole possession of the 2023 title and the right to host the inaugural Ivy Field Hockey Tournament next weekend. The game will start at 12:00 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.

Virginia Athletics announced Thursday that field hockey Coach Michelle Madison will be on leave for the remainder of the 2023 season. Madison will miss both the ACC and the NCAA Tournaments. The release did not provide details as to the reason for Madison’s departure.
