India and China record big scores in women's hockey

Indian women's hockey team defeated Hong Kong by 13-0 (Half time 6-0) in the Pool A match at Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium Hangzhou in the 19th Asian Games 2022. For the Indian team Vandana Katariya (3) and Deepika (3) scored hat tricks.

Hangzhou: The Indian Women's Hockey Team on Tuesday made it to the Semi-Finals of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, with a resounding 13-0 win over Hong Kong China in their last Pool A match. Vandana Katariya (2’, 16’, 48’), Deepika (4’, 54’, 58’) Monika (7’), Deep Grace Ekka (11’, 42), Sangita Kumari (27’, 55’), Vaishnavi Vithal Phalke (34’), and Navneet Kaur (58’) were the goalscorers for India.

No. 7 Virginia field hockey falls to No. 5 Louisville

No. 7 Virginia traveled to Louisville, Ky., Friday afternoon for the second competition of their three game road trip. The Cavaliers (7-4, 1-2 ACC) were set to take on the No. 5 Cardinals (9-1, 1-1 ACC), who were undefeated at home at Trager Stadium. Ultimately, the Cavaliers were unable to spoil that Cardinal home winning streak, as a 2-0 Louisville victory earned them a 5-0 home record.
