PR Sreejesh, nominated for the FIH Men's goalkeeper of the year award for the 2021-22 season, said that the initial Pro League matches will help the team to get in groove ahead of the World Cup.

Maryland field hockey entered halftime in a bout with unranked New Hampshire tied 1-1. The Terps frequently broke through the Wildcats defense and racked up shot attempts, but only one of the 13 first-half shots found the back of the net.

The Cavaliers faced their tallest task of the season with a road trip to play the No. 1-ranked team in the country and the defending national champions. UVA fell behind early, but rallied to make a game out of it. Ultimately, though, the Virginia field hockey team came up just short of completing the comeback and fell at No. 1 Northwestern 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at Lakeside Field in Evanston, Illinois.





Former FIH Executive Board Member Theo Ykema passes away



It is with great sadness that the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has learned that former FIH Executive Board Member Theo Ykema (NED) recently passed away at the age of 83.

The victorious 1984 Olympic team captain Manzoor Jr garlanded upon his return to Pakistan

One of Pakistan’s most decorated hockey players, Manzoor Hussain, better known as Manzoor Junior, died of a massive heart attack in Lahore on August 29. He was captain of Pakistan’s last Olympic gold medal winning side of 1984.
