FIH Hockey Stars Awards - Moments: Delfina Merino, 2017 FIH Player of the Year



Delfina Merino is a two-time Olympic silver medalist and a gold medalist at the FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup in 2010. She was also voted as the FIH Player of the Year 2017!





Feels great when hardwork is recognised: Star defender Harmanpreet on FIH nomination

Indian Hockey Team vice-captain Harmanpreet Singh is happy with the nomination for the best player of the year award by FIH.



Star defender Harmanpreet Singh on Wednesday termed his nomination for this year's FIH Player of the Year Award as a huge honour and a recognition of his hard work put in all these years for the national hockey team. Harmanpreet who was part of the silver medal-winning team at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham this year also won bronze at the Asian Champions Trophy Dhaka in 2021, won the top award and his first in the 2020-21 edition.





Colwill thrilled to be SAHOF scholarship recipient



Hockeyroo Claire Colwill’s rise as a current and future star of Australian hockey has been recognised with a Tier 1 scholarship from the Sport Australia Hall of Fame (SAHOF).

KUANTAN: A determined Perak successfully defended their boys' Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Under-18 hockey title by downing Johor in the final at the Kuantan Hockey Stadium here today.
