FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar - Rourkela: Pools revealed!



Lausanne, Switzerland: On the occasion of the draw ceremony held today at the Convention Centre, in Lok Sewa Bhawan, Bhubaneswar (India), the four Pools of the upcoming FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar - Rourkela have been determined as follows:





Kookaburras learn pool stage opponents for 2023 World Cup



Australia’s world number one ranked Kookaburras have been drawn alongside Argentina, France and South Africa in Pool A for the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023.





Indian Men Pitted Alongside England, Spain, & Wales in Pool D



The Indian men’s hockey team have been awarded a relatively comfortable Pool D alongside England, Spain, and Wales for the upcoming 2022 Men’s Hockey World Cup to be held at at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar and at the Bisra Munda Stadium in Rourkela from January 13 to 29, 2023. This is the fourth time that India is hosting the Men’s Hockey World Cup after the successful conduct of the big-ticket events in 1982, 2010, and 2018.





India drawn in Pool D with Wales, Spain, England

India is slated along with Wales, Spain and England in Pool D for the upcoming Hockey World 2023 in Bhuvneshwar and Rourkela.

The FIH Men's World Cup 2023 is scheduled from 13th-29th January 2023 in the cities of Bhuvneshwar and Rourkela in Odisha. A total of 16 teams from five confederations of FIH have qualified for the world cup.





England drawn against tournament hosts India and home nation Wales in World Cup

The four pools were drawn today for the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar - Rourkela, India.  The draw ceremony took place this morning in Bhubaneswar with the 3 highest seeds Australia, Belgium and Netherlands, along with hosts India already confirmed in the first position across the 4 pools.





Wales Men Drawn With India & England In Pool D For 2023 Hockey World Cup

Wales men have been placed with hosts India and home nation rivals England in Pool D as the draw for the FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup took place in Odisha, India this morning.

In the draw which was made in Bhubaneshwar today, Malaysia were placed in a group which, national coach A. Arul Selvaraj believes, should at least get them into the quarter-finals of the 2023 men’s World Cup in Bhubaneswar, India from Jan 13-29.

KUALA LUMPUR: There was palpable relief after the World Cup hockey draw today; Malaysia didn't land in any group of death.

Maryland field hockey’s players had decisions to make when fall sports were either canceled or postponed to spring 2021 due to COVID-19. The Terps could either take the season off from playing the game or go overseas to one of the few countries where field hockey was still being played.

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State field hockey team has another busy weekend on the docket with a pair of road game against Big Ten foe Indiana, starting Friday and then closes out the weekend on the road at Saint Louis Sunday afternoon.
