South Africa and Egypt reach final of men's Africa Cup of Nations hockey

South Africa and Egypt reached the final of the men’s Africa Cup of Nations hockey tournament in Accra, Ghana, after convincing victories in their semi-final matches.





South Africa Men seal final spot with professional victory

South Africa and Nigeria met in the 2022 African Hockey Cup of Nations at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium, which last hosted the tournament in 2009. The two sides last faced off in a test match in 2017 when the South Africans emerged victorious by 8-1. South African High Commissioner to Ghana Her Excellency Grace Jeanet Mason was again in attendance at the venue supporting the Southern African side.

T&T's chances of a place at the 2023 Men's Hockey World Cup were dashed when they went down to Mexico 4-2 at the Pan American Cup Challenge in Santiago, Chile on Saturday.

SANTIAGO, Chile – In their second Pool B game of the 2022 Pan American Cup, the No. 22 U.S. Men’s National Team met familiar opponent No. 10 Canada at the Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile. Having just faced each other in December, USA took the lead just before the half and added another in the fourth but not before a persistent Canada cut the margin. USA held on for the 2-1 win, marking the first time the red, white and blue has beaten Canada in an international competition in more than 10 years.

With a few minutes left, Canada pulled goalkeeper Antoni Kindler to add an extra attacker. They laid siege to the US net but came up empty and USA walked off the pitch with a 2-1 victory, giving them the stranglehold over pool B.

South Korea seized control of Pool B at the Women’s Hockey Asia Cup by overcoming China in Muscat.

Great indoor win for Scotland against Ireland following defeat to hosts Spain



Scotland`s women got a reward for their endeavours with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Ireland at the EuroHockey indoor Championships 11 in Ourense. However, the day did not start with the same success as the Scots went down 6-2 to hosts Spain.
