Three goal Dilpreet leads India goalfest



Nine answered goals scored by India against Bangladesh came as no surprise in the Asian Champions Trophy hockey encounter at the Maulana Bhasani stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The Indian hockey team registered a thumping 9-0 victory over hosts Bangladesh in their second match of the Men’s Asian Champions Trophy 2021 in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Wednesday.

Dilpreet (12th, 22nd and 45th) scored three field goals for India, while Jarmanpreet Singh (33rd, 43rd) struck a brace from penalty corners situations

Dhaka: Striker Dilpreet Singh slammed a hat-trick as defending champions and Olympic bronze-medallists India thrashed hosts Bangladesh 9-0 to register their first win in the Asian Champions Trophy men's hockey tournament here on Wednesday.





Dilpreet’s Hat-Trick: 6th Instance of Indian Scoring Hat-Trick in Asian Champions Trophy



Dilpreet scored a fabulous hat-trick in India’s 9-0 drubbing of hosts Bangladesh in the 6th Men’s Asian Champions Trophy at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium in Dhaka. Interestingly, this was Dilpreet’s second hat-trick in the Asian Champions Trophy – he had scored his first hat-trick in India’s 11-0 mauling of Oman in the 2018 Asian Champions Trophy at Muscat. This is the sixth instance of an Indian scoring a hat-trick in the Asian Champions Trophy.
