Belgium's women's and men's teams made it a weekend to remember for their home supporters, with both teams claiming second FIH Hockey Pro League victories over Germany in two pulsating matches on Sunday in Brussels.

Irish Senior Cup holders UCD survived a tight battle with Old Alexandra on Saturday to advance to the quarter-finals of this season’s competition where they will be joined by Pegasus, the team they beat in last year’s final, the Belfast side seeing off the challenge of Ulster Elks.

After a victory over No. 2 Michigan on Friday, Hawkeye field hockey had to complete a quick turnaround against No. 19 Ohio State on Sunday at Grant Field.





No. 3 Field Hockey Records Fourth Straight Shutout Win

Team Defeats Columbia, 2-0, to improve to 12-2 overall



PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 3 Rutgers field hockey completed a sweep of a two-game home weekend on a windy Sunday afternoon, defeating Columbia 2-0. The Scarlet Knights were buoyed by goals from Bridy Molyneaux and Milena Redlingshoefer, while Gianna Glatz made five saves for her fourth consecutive shutout to boost the Scarlet Knights' record on the year to 12-2.

At the start of the second period, Northwestern redshirt junior forward Bente Baekers grabbed possession of the ball, dribbled past three Michigan State defenders and drove the ball straight past the goalkeeper’s feet.





Late Penalty Strokes Sink Field Hockey at No. 6 Northwestern



EVANSTON, Ill. – After seeing the home team convert on a pair of penalty strokes in the final 10 minutes of the game, Michigan State was unable to pull off the upset against No. 6 Northwestern, falling by a 6-2 score in Big Ten field hockey action on Sunday afternoon at Lakeside Field.

Indiana field hockey faced a big weekend in conference play, matching up against both Michigan teams over the weekend.





No. 12 Virginia field hockey looks to get back on track against No. 17 Old Dominion

The No. 19 ranked Virginia field hockey team will travel to the L.R. Hill Sports Complex in Norfolk, Va. Sunday to face off against No. 17 Old Dominion. The Cavaliers (7-5, 2-2 ACC) will be looking to avenge their 2-1 loss Sept. 26 when the Monarchs (9-3, 3-1 BIG EAST) scored twice in the final 10 minutes to complete a come-from-behind victory.





No. 14 Virginia Field Hockey Falls at No. 18 ODU 2-1

The Cavaliers lost to the Monarchs for the second time this season

For the second time this season, the No. 14 UVA field hockey team built a 1-0 lead against No. 18 Old Dominion. And for the second time this season, the Monarchs scored two goals in the second half to steal the victory from the Hoos.
