Alex is hoping for a happy birthday in Belgium



At an event where the three medal-winning goalkeepers at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 were in their mid-30s, (Vincent Vanasch - Belgium 33, Andrew Charter - Australia 34 and PR Sreejesh - India 33), it was also exciting to see some young goalkeepers breaking onto the international stage.





Quality on display as Belgium play Germany

Belgium’s men will take the pitch against Germany at the Royal Uccle Sport THC in Brussels on Saturday, October 16, in front of their own adoring fans for the first time after clinching their maiden Olympic gold medal at Tokyo in August.

The Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2021 will be held from December 5 to 12 in Donghae, South Korea, the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) announced on Friday.





Scots youngsters triumph over Malaysia



Scotland`s under-21 side caught the Malaysians cold with a 1-0 victory in the second match at Clydesdale tonight and thereby won the overall series after drawing the first match 1-1 the day before. Quite a remarkable achievement considering the limitations to preparation due to COVID restrictions and the fact that Malaysia is ranked 11th in the world and on its way to the Junior World Cup in India next month.

Harris Announces 19-Athlete Traveling Roster for Men’s Junior World Cup



COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After a thrilling shootout victory back in August to claim bronze, the Junior U.S. Men’s National Team captured their second medal in event history and first since 2008 at the Junior Pan American Championship (JPAC). Although falling just short of directly qualifying for the 2021 FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup (JWC), the team was the first reserve should a nation pull out.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 3 Rutgers field hockey earned yet another signature win on Friday afternoon, taking down No. 8 Maryland. The win marked RU's first victory over Maryland since 1998, the final Big Ten foe for RU to defeat since joining the league. With the victory, the Scarlet Knights improved to 11-2 on the season and 4-1 in Big Ten play. It was their ninth ranked win of the season and fourth over a top-10 foe.
