Australia withdraw, Malaysia going ahead

Australia have backed out, and two more teams are expected to withdraw from hockey's Junior World Cup (JWC) in India from Nov 24-Dec 5.

T&T senior women’s hockey team has a confirmed departure date, Wednesday (September 22), to compete at the 2021 Pan American Challenge Cup at the Villa Maria del Triunfo Pan American Complex, Lima, Peru from September 25 to October 2.

Senior club hockey finally wrapped up in Hawke's Bay on Saturday with eight finals across six divisions played at Park Island in Napier.





Eye catching results in the Scottish premiership

There were some outstanding goal feats today, teenager Fraser Heigh scored a double hat-trick in Grange`s win over Hillhead, Wildcats scored seven against Clydesdale, while in the women`s league Sarah Jamieson also notched six in Watsonians` 15 against Erskine Stewarts Melville while a hat-trick by Fiona Semple was the catalyst in Clydesdale`s 4-3 win over Wildcats.





Ohio falls short in 3-2 double-overtime loss to Kent State

Ohio traveled to face No. 23 Kent State for its first Mid-American Conference match of the season. Despite pushing the match into double-overtime, Ohio suffered its sixth loss of the season 3-2.

What seemed like the largest and loudest crowd Maryland field hockey has had since before the pandemic was into the match all afternoon. It was constantly on its feet and roaring, providing an incredible home-field advantage.
