SANTIAGO, Chile – At the Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile, the U.S. U-22 Men’s National Team fell in a hard-fought, tight loss to Argentina in their 2021 Junior Pan American Championship opener. Unable to capitalize on multiple scoring chances, Los Leones made the most of their opportunities winning 2-0.

SANTIAGO, Chile – In their second pool game of the 2021 Junior Pan American Championship, taking place at the Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile, the U.S. U-22 Women’s National Team used a strong scoring performance to beat Trinidad and Tobago. Six different athletes contributed to the 15-0 score, powered by five from Charlotte De Vries (Malvern, Pa.), to secure the top finish in Pool B.

An understrength T&T junior women’s hockey team proved no match for the USA and fell to an embarrassing 15-0 loss in their opening Pool B match at the Junior Pan American Women’s Hockey Championship in Santiago, Chile on Monday.

The national junior men’s team will go into action on Tuesday from 2 pm also against USA at the Junior Pan American Hockey Championship in Santiago, Chile as they look to secure a spot at the World Cup to be played in South Africa, later this year.





FIH Hockey Stars Awards 2020-21: Shortlists revealed as voting opens



Lausanne, Switzerland: The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is delighted to reveal the shortlists for the FIH Hockey Stars Awards 2020-21, with players, coaches, media and fans being able to register their votes for the nominees in the respective women’s and men’s Player, Goalkeeper, Rising Star and Coach of the Year categories from today (Monday 23 August).

The Indian men's team head coach Graham Reid and women's team counterpart Sjoerd Marijne were among three nominees for FIH Coach of the Year award for men and women.

Lausanne: The Indian men's hockey team drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh and his female counterpart Gurjit Kaur were on Monday nominated for the FIH Player of the Year awards as the country made the short-list of all the categories on the back of its stupendous performance in the Tokyo Olympics.

The International Hockey Federation have today announced the nominees for the Annual FIH Hockey Star Awards. South African Hockey are pleased to share that Mustapha Cassiem has been announced as a finalist in the Rising Star category.

Lisa Deetlefs announces retirement from International Hockey



South Africa’s current most capped player and triple Olympian Lisa-Marie Deetlefs has today announced her retirement from International Hockey. The superb defender, who earned 271 caps for South Africa, finishes her career as the fifth highest capped player in South African Women’s hockey history.

For Manpreet Singh, days since he climbed the podium have been a seemingly endless blur. Beyond Our Game: UNC and Duke's field hockey players join to empower athletes of color

Courtnie Williamson became North Carolina’s first Black field hockey captain during the 2020 season. Although Williamson was honored, she also felt disappointed that it took UNC so long to have its first Black field hockey captain.
