Scotland win silver at men’s EuroHockey Championship II



Scotland took the silver medal at Men’s EuroHockey Championship II after Austria won a dramatic shootout 7-6 following 1-1 draw. Struan Walker scored for Scotland during the match, but it was a great penalty save to deny Alan Forsyth from the spot that gave Austria the chance to win the shootout, and the gold medal.





O’Dea on the double as Green Machine finish on a high



Teenager Kevin O’Dea’s sharp double earned Ireland a third place finish from the men’s EuroHockey Championship II in Gniezno, beating hosts Poland 4-2.

Belarus women added outdoor success to Euro indoor glory by lifting the EuroHockey Championship II title in Prague after beating France 1-0 in Saturday’s final.

Wales have earned a spot at the women's hockey World Cup Qualifiers in October after finishing fourth at EuroHockey Championship II in Prague.
