Super South Africa secure thrilling gold



South Africa, powered by Tops at SPAR, locked horns with Namibia in a tournament final for the second time in a month having previously played in the Sultan Nazrin Shah Cup in Malaysia. On that occasion the Namibians come out on top with a shootout win and the South Africans were determined to make their statement in Cape Town.





Namibia victorious in Inaugural final



A capacity crowd at the Wynberg Military Base was on hand to witness a remarkable final of the inaugural Kathea Energy Nkosi Cup. It was a renewal of the old rivalry as South Africa locked horns with the Namibians to decide the first champion. It was the 50th Test cap for SPAR South Africa striker Kayla de Waal, who had the honour of leading the team on.

The South African Women’s Indoor Hockey team sealed a tight 3-2 win over Namibia to go unbeaten in the pool stage of the Kathea Nkosi Cup at the Wynberg Military base on Monday, 18 December 2023.

Indian Men’s Hockey Team goes down to Germany in 5 Nations Tournament Valencia 2023

Abhishek and Shamsher Singh scored one goal each for India



Valencia: The Indian Men’s Hockey Team lost to Germany 2-3 in their third match of the 5 Nations Tournament Valencia 2023 on Saturday. Abhishek and Shamsher Singh were the two goal scorers for India.

Valencia: The Indian Women’s Hockey Team suffered a 1-3 defeat to Germany on Tuesday in the 5 Nations Tournament Valencia 2023. Captain Nike Lorez (11’), Hanna Carina Granitzki (23’), and Charlotte Stapenhorst (52’) led the charge for Germany, scoring a goal each. Meanwhile, Nikki Pradhan (34') was the lone goal-scorer for India.





Assistant Coaching changes for Black Sticks



Hockey New Zealand is announcing several changes to coaching support for the Vantage Black Sticks men and women teams over the November-January period.
