Argentina seal Olympic Games Paris 2024 Qualification 
Hockey at Pan American Games 2023 came to an end today with Argentina men and women claiming the gold medals and securing qualification to the Olympic Games Paris 2024! Both the Argentine teams defended their titles from the 2019 edition of the games. The men’s team were the first to win their gold medal, defeating Chile 3-1 in the finals. The women’s team faced USA in the finals and came away with a thrilling 2-1 win to secure their 11th gold medal at the Pan American Games.

Everything was on the line and neither team held back but Argentina clung to a fourth-quarter goal to win 2-1 over the USA to take home their eighth Pan American gold medal and, ultimately, punch their ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The USA pulled their goalie with three minutes to go and even earned two penalty corners but could not find a way to tie the game.

Like men's hockey team, Argentina women's hockey team also won gold medal in the Pan American Games 2023 at Stadium Sports Park, Santiago Chile defeated United States by 2 - 1.
The host Chile defeated Canada by 2 - 0 to win the bronze medal.

Rojas' double daggers earn Chile first medal since 2011
Two identical penalty corners from Denise Rojas Losada gave Chile all they needed to claim a bronze medal over Canada, their first medal since 2011. The game marked the 100th international for Chilean defender Fernanda Villagran, while the pair of goals brings Rojas’ tournament total to six. For Canada, the loss breaks a positive streak of medals following a bronze in 2015, a silver in 2019 and before that the last medal coming in 1999.

It is a picture-perfect moment for Japan’s Emi Yamada who umpires her 100th international game in the gold-medal match at the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago at Estadio Nacional de Chile on 4 November. Known as the “Golden Whistle” achievement, Yamada becomes just the fourth Japanese official to reach the milestone following women’s umpires Naomi Kato (1997), Kazuko Yasueda (2002) and Chieko Soma (2012).

Johor Bahru (Malaysia): The Indian Junior Men's Hockey Team defeated Pakistan 3-3 (6-5 SO) in a hard-fought 3rd/4th place match today to clinch the Bronze medal at the 11th Sultan of Johar Cup. The action-packed encounter saw Arun Sahani (11’), Poovanna CB (42’), and Captain Uttam Singh (52’) score for India while Sufyan Khan (33’), Abdul Qayyum (50’), and Captain Shahid Hannan (57’) scored for Pakistan to end regulation time at 3-3. The penalty shootouts went all the way to sudden death as India’s goalkeeper Mohith H.S denied Pakistan Captain to clinch Bronze with a nervy 6-5 shootout win.
