Goals from Ashu Maurya and Rahul Rajbhar ensure victory for the Indian Sub Junior Men’s Team. Sub Junior Women’s Team were beaten 2-6 by the Netherlands U-16 Team
Netherlands: A day of mixed results unfolded for the Indian Sub Junior Teams in their maiden international tour. The Men secured an impressive 4-2 victory against the Netherlands U-16 Men’s Team while the Women faced a challenging 2-6 defeat against the Netherlands U-16 Women’s Team.

The No. 3 North Carolina field hockey team (11-2, 4-0 ACC) knocked off No. 19 Albany (9-5, 5-1 AE) on Sunday, 4-3, leaving its weekend in New York 2-0.

ALBANY, N.Y. – The North Carolina field hockey team battled back from a halftime deficit to earn a 4-3 nonconference win on Sunday afternoon at UAlbany, 4-3. In the final quarter of a tied game, Hannah Boss eyed a go-ahead goal as she moved up the right wing and angled a pass toward Margot Lawn in the center of the shooting circle. Lawn collected and reset before driving the ball into the lower left corner from the outside right to put Maryland on top after the score was even for much of the second half.

In the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game between No. 10 Maryland field hockey and No. 9 Ohio State, Terps sophomore Hannah Boss sprinted through space in the midfield and zipped a pass directly in front of the net, finding fifth-year Margot Lawn. Lawn sent in a shot that was deflected by freshman Maci Bradford, beating Ohio State goalkeeper Abby Dawson to thrust Maryland ahead.

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison field hockey team (6-8) remained undefeated at home this season with a 2-1 second-half comeback against the Miami (OH) RedHawks (9-6). Bucknell trailed 1-0 at halftime but used two goals in the latter portions of the game to pull out the win. Lily Neilson scored the first goal and assisted on the second score via a sweet pass to Rachel Apa, who deposited the tally. Bucknell outshot Miami 18-14, including 12-5 in the second period.

Chhattisgarh: The group stage of the 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men & Women West Zone Championship 2023 concluded today in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. In the Sub Junior Women’s category, Hockey Madhya Pradesh secured the top position with 18 points, followed by Chhattisgarh Hockey at 15 points. Having secured the top 2 places in the points table, Hockey Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Hockey confirmed their place in the Final and will face off against one another on Monday at 1000 hrs.
