Hangzhou: The Indian Women's Hockey Team came from behind to record a thrilling 1-1 draw against Korea in their third Pool A match of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 on Sunday. For India, Navneet Kaur (44’) scored an equaliser after a goal from Hyejin CHO (12’) had put Korea in front.

Despite dominating the field, India could not capitalize cornucopia of chances it created but in the end struggled to draw chances of which at one point of time looked dim against traditional rival South Korea in their penultimate pool match.
Jang Jong-Hyun creates records

South Korea defeated Oman by 16-2 (Half time 7-0) in their last Pool B match in the men's hockey in the 19th Asian Games 2022 at Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium, Hangzhou. For the South Korean men's hockey team Jang Jong-Hyun scored five magnificent goals.
Now, Jang Jong-Hyun is the leading goal scorer in the men's hockey event with 15 goals. This is the third instance when Jang Jong-Hyun scored 15 goals in an edition in Asian Games is now a unique achievement in any field hockey tournament history.

Paul Litjens of Netherlands almost achieved the landmark. but his tally of goals in FIH Champions Trophy was reduced to 14 goals. He scored 16 goals in the EuroHockey Nations Championship, Hannover 1978 and 15 goals in the FIH World Cup , Buenos Aires 1978. Unfortunately his tally of goals reached 14 goals in the FIH Champions Trophy Karachi 1980.

On Sunday, the No. 2 North Carolina field hockey team (8-1, 2-0 ACC) knocked off No. 13 Saint Joseph’s (9-3, 3-0 Atlantic 10) on the road, 4-1. Sophomore midfielder Sietske Brüning's goal with no time left to end the first half proved to be the most vital play of the game, as it lifted the Tar Heels to a 2-1 lead.

Maci Bradford received the ball after a collection of give-and-go passes down the pitch. Pulling the ball across her body to the left side of the shooting circle, she landed in a backhanded shot. The ball slipped just between Penn State’s goaltender’s foot and post and rocketed into the back of the net three minutes into the match.

Brough Nets Game Winner As No. 14 Field Hockey Defeats No. 10 Syracuse
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 14 Harvard field hockey (7-3, 3-0 Ivy) defeated No. 10 Syracuse in a thriller at Berylson Field on Sunday afternoon. The Crimson scored a season-high six goals including a four-goal second quarter to help lift Harvard to a massive victory. Bronte-May Brough scored the winner late in the fourth quarter as the sophomore registered her first multi-goal game of the season.
#12 Boston College Beats Field Hockey to End Weekend
NEWTON, Mass. – Vermont traveled to Newton this afternoon for a midday matchup with Boston College to finish their road trip. The Catamounts had the best chance of the game when Sophia Drees saw her shot, and then Maddie Moran's follow-up was blocked. However, the Eagles dominated possession and scored three times in three and a half minutes to give the Eagles a 3-0 first half lead. Peyton Hale and Eva Kluskens paced Boston College on the day with a goal and an assist each to give them a 5-0 win. The loss drops the Catamounts to 4-7 and moves the Eagles to 7-4.
