Argentina women edge China, Netherlands men find redemption against the Aussies



China’s women wrapped up their FIH Hockey Pro League campaign in frustrating fashion, enjoying the upper hand in much of their final match against Argentina in Eindhoven, but still going down 2-1 to Los Leonas. Meanwhile, the Netherlands men were out for redemption when they once again came up against the Australian side that handed them their worst ever home defeat three days ago. And they achieved just that, emerging 5-2 winners after a high-octane match.

The Kookaburras could not repeat their dominance from three days earlier as they went down 5-2 to a clinical Netherlands in the FIH Pro League.





Double delight for USA at 2023 Hockey5s Pan American Cup



The 2023 Hockey5s Pan American Cup came to an end yesterday in Kingston, Jamaica as USA won the gold medal, and along with Uruguay and Paraguay, qualified for the inaugural FIH Hockey5s World Cup Oman 2024 in the women’s competition. USA also took gold in the men’s competition and were joined by Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica in qualifying for the World Cup.

Darren Cowie, coach of the T&T men’s Hockey5s team and team captain Akim Toussaint have both praised the effort of the team in winning silver at the Hockey 5s Pan American Cup which ended at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus Turf, Kingston, Jamaica on Sunday night.

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Kuala Lumpur HA (KLHA) president Datuk Seri Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin's 12-month suspension by the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) was lifted by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) judicial commission today.
