NOTTINGHAM, England - After two days of the 2022 World Masters Hockey (WMH) World Cup in Nottingham, England, the U.S. O-40 Men's Masters Team is sitting at the top of their pool, after two victories, while the U.S. O-35 Women's Masters Team played South Africa to a tie and the U.S. O-40 Women's Masters Team fell in a hard-fought contest against Germany.

Marc Coudron is to run for the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Presidency once again, seeking to complete the term of Narinder Batra who beat him by just two votes in last year's election.

Indian men’s hockey is in good health and there is denying that notwithstanding our recent morale-pounding 0-7 defeat at the hands of world number one Australia in the final of the 2022 Commonwealth Games at Birmingham – their second consecutive heavy defeat to the Kookaburras after their 1-7 mauling at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. The back-to-back meek surrenders to Australia have attracted a fair amount of flak all around.
