The Indian men's hockey team travelled last weekend to play Olympic Champions Belgium on their turf in the two-legged fixture of the FIH Hockey Pro League. Alexander Hendrickx's brace helped Belgium to notch up a thrilling 3-2 victory over India in the second match of the two-leg FIH Pro Hockey League tournament on Sunday.





Deep Grace Ekka Needs to Up her Game to Justify her Place in the Team



The deep defence of the Indian women’s hockey team will be an area of concern for coach Janneke Schopman with the World Cup just a month away. The FIH Pro Leagues games against Belgium brutally exposed the vulnerabilities in the backline of the national women’s hockey team. And not helping matters is the steady dip in performance of fullback Deep Grace Ekka. The most experienced defender in the Indian women’s team hasn’t inspired much confidence in the Indian backline in the Pro League.





Fresh-looking Irish men win series over Italy at Lisnagarvey



The Irish men picked up two wins and a draw from their three-game series against Italy at Lisnagarvey as they continue their summer schedule, building experience and knowledge ahead of the European Championships qualifiers in August.
