Resolute England dig deep to score two wins against Germany



Darcy Bourne opened her senior side scoring account with two goals against Germany, as England women defeated their European rivals in a close 4-3 encounter. In the men's game, it was again England who took all three points as they took an early 1-0 lead and then somehow kept the door shut on a continuous German onslaught.

England celebrated a pair of victories over Germany as the men's and women's International Hockey Federation (FIH) Pro League continued in Mönchengladbach.

Nick Bandurak’s winner combined with captain Ollie Payne’s heroic display in goal helped England’s men edge Germany 1-0 in the FIH Pro League.

Darcy Bourne’s double helped England twice come from behind to stun Germany 4-3 in the FIH Pro League.





Bandurak and Payne Shine as England Defeat Germany



In the game against England, the German national team was the stronger team, but the English team, with Nicholas Bandurak, scored just before the end of the first quarter to make it 0-1. However, the Germans were unable to take advantage of their chances afterwards, and the final score remained 0:1.





The Danas Narrowly Lose 4-3 to Athletic England Women



In the FIH Pro League, the Danas met the English selection today, May 4th. In the first of two games at SparkassenPark Mönchengladbach, coach Valentin Altenburg’s team had to admit defeat 3:4 after 60 minutes. The goals for Germany were scored by Hannah Gablac, Nike Lorenz and Sonja Zimmermann. Tessa Howard, Grace Balsdon and twice Darcy Bourne scored for the England.
