India have the Ammuntion To Conquer Argentinian Frontier



The Indian men’s hockey team would have the psychological advantage against Argentina if their recent international meet-ups are anything to go by. The Graham-Reid coached Indians had sailed past the South Americans 3-1 at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and also did not have to break much sweat in the last edition of the Pro League when they drew the second leg 2-2 before going on to win the shootout 3-2 and coasted to a 3-0 win in the first leg in Buenos Aires.





Stoop and Pro League Home Games Will Go On Sale Friday



Tickets go on sale this Friday for England’s international teams’ first matches in front of home crowds since 2018, when the FIH Hockey Pro League returns in May and June of this year.

The 9th FIH Women’s Hockey Junior World Cup springs into life on April 1, four months after it was originally scheduled. The delayed start was due to Covid, and the global pandemic continues to play havoc with the sporting calendar as six teams have been forced to withdraw because of localized restrictions. Those not taking part includes Oceania teams Australia and New Zealand; European teams Belgium and Spain and the Asian giants China and Japan.





Indonesia to Host 11th Men’s Asia Cup for First Time Ever!



Indonesia will host the 11th Men’s Asia Cup Tournament after the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) and the International Hockey Federation (FIH) inked an agreement in Jakarta. It was learnt that a few other nations, including Malaysia were also in the running to host the tournament but Indonesia won the hosting rights in the end. This is the first time ever that Indonesia will host the Men’s Asia Cup and it will be held from May 23 to June 1. Interestingly, Malaysia have hosted the Men’s Asia Cup four times, while India and Bangladesh have hosted it twice. Pakistan and Japan have hosted it once.
