A bright future for French hockey



Gaspard Baumgarten is an established member of the French men’s national team with 139 caps to his name. The French forward has enjoyed being part of a resurgent national team in recent years and, with the excellent bronze medal won by the France U21 team at the Junior World Cup, Baumgarten is looking forward to an even brighter future.

SA Hockey Men named for the Potchefstroom Leg of FIH Pro League

Cape Town — The South African men's hockey team will make their bow in the elite FIH (International Hockey Federation) Pro League on Tuesday when they run out against the world No 4-ranked The Netherlands at the North-West University in Potchefstroom.

FIH Hockey Women's World Cup Spain & Netherlands 2022: draw scheduled on 17 February



The International Hockey Federation (FIH) is pleased to announce that the draw ceremony  and the draw for the pools of the next FIH Hockey Women's World Cup Spain & the Netherlands 2022 will be held on 17 February, at 11am CET, at the facilities of the Museu Nacional de la Ciència i de la Tècnica de Catalunya (MNACTEC), in Terrassa, Spain.





Hockey World Cup venue has too much filth to clear

The RMC estimates the landfill site to have around 68,000 to 1 lakh tonne of mixed waste. Spread over around 10 acres.

ROURKELA:  A stench lingers around the under-construction hockey stadium, billed as India’s largest with world-class facilities, on the BPUT campus at Chhend Colony here. The proposed stadium will co-host the Men’s Hockey World Cup in January next year but less than 100 metre away, piles of garbage sit in the landfill site of BPUT.
