100% vaccinated Bhubaneswar Covid-safe for Junior Hockey World Cup, say organisers

NEW DELHI: Odisha's much-talked-about love affair with hockey will grow stronger with the next edition of the Junior Men's Hockey World Cup, which begins on November 24 in Bhubaneswar. But like other tournaments around the world this year, the organisers have a different rider attached to it this time. The event needs to be Covid-safe, and with every Bhubaneswar resident aged 18 or above double-dosed with the Covid-19 vaccine, organisers believe they have all their bases covered.





Olympian Lalremsiami to lead India in women's junior hockey World Cup Hockey

India has announced an 18-member junior squad for the FIH World Cup starting from December 5 in South Africa

Forward Lalremsiami, who was a part of the Indian senior women's hockey team which finished fourth at the Tokyo Olympics, will lead the country's 18-member junior squad at the FIH World Cup starting in South Africa from December 5.

Lisnagarvey went top on their own for the first time this season with a sixth successive victory, beating bottom side UCD 5-1. While the final score might have been anticipated, the students made life very difficult and led 1-0 at time thanks to Tim Cope’s counter goal.

Iowa field hockey’s NCAA Tournament Elite Eight matchup against Northwestern looked set to go into overtime at Grant Field on Sunday as the Hawkeyes and Wildcats were both scoreless near the end of the fourth quarter.

PISCATAWAY, NJ (WSET) — The Liberty field hockey team is heading to the NCAA Field Hockey Championship Final Four for the first time in program history following a dramatic 3-2 victory over top-ranked Rutgers in a shootout, Sunday afternoon at the Bauer Track/Field Hockey Complex.
