FIH World Rankings: European and Pro League action sees significant movement



The results at the recent Hockey World Cup qualification events in Europe have impacted the FIH Hockey World Rankings, with the FIH Hockey Pro League and other test matches also triggering some movement.

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha on Wednesday said it was well prepared to host the Junior Men's Hockey World Cup, scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 24 to December 5.





Sjoerd Marijne's final payment held on HI's advice; Dutchman says issue almost resolved now

Former women's hockey team chief coach Sjoerd Marijne's ''full and final'' salary was stopped on the recommendations of Hockey India after he was denied a 'No Objection Certificate' for failing to return his official laptop, which, according to the Dutchman, is on its way to India now.





Salary dues: Hockey India accuses Tokyo Games coach of ‘data theft’

On Tuesday, without blaming any official or institution, the former India coach had told The Indian Express that he was yet to receive his final salary from the SAI.

Hours after the Indian Express published a report that Sjoerd Marijne, who had coached the women’s hockey team at the Tokyo Olympics, is yet to be paid his final salary by the Sports Authority of India and a cash reward promised by UP, the sport’s national body accused the Dutchman of “data theft” — and threatened to take action against him for not returning a laptop.

Four Nittany Lion Field Hockey Players Garner Big Ten Post-Season Honors

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Four members of head coach Char Morett-Curtiss' Penn State field hockey team have earned post-season honors for the 2021-22 Big Ten season with the announcement of the All-Big Ten teams and Sportsmanship Award winners.  The Nittany Lions have two first team honorees, a second team member and a sportsmanship award winner.
