Hockey Australia announces absence from FIH tournaments



The Kookaburras and Hockeyroos will not compete in the next edition of the FIH Pro League, with Hockey Australia (HA) also confirming non-attendance at various other FIH (International Hockey Federation) events over the coming months.





Hockey New Zealand unable to participate in FIH events in late 2021, early 2022



Hockey New Zealand has agreed with the sport’s governing body, the International Hockey Federation (FIH), that it is unable to host or participate in FIH events scheduled between now and June 2022, including Season 3 of the Hockey Pro-League, the Junior World Cups (Nov-Dec 2021) and the Indoor Hockey World Cup (Feb 2022).

NEW DELHI: The men's Asian Champions trophy to be held in Dhaka this October has been postponed to December, hosts Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) confirmed on Friday.

The first floodlit international hockey match took place on the October 25 1955 at the Arsenal Football Club’s stadium at Highbury, London. The match was organised by the AEWHA to celebrate their 60th anniversary and was very much in line with their enlightened policy of holding their international match on famous sports grounds.
