Olympic medallists dominate FIH Hockey Stars Men’s Player of the Year nominations
With all six of the nominees having stood on the podium at the recent Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, there is a real Olympic flavour to the FIH Hockey Stars Men’s Player of the Year Award for 2020-21. As well as excelling in Japan, the six players also made significant contributions in the 2020-21 edition of the FIH Hockey Pro League.

The Massachusetts field hockey team kicked off its five-game road trip with a 2-1 win over Albany on Sunday, keeping its undefeated start to the 2021 season intact.

In Penn field hockey’s first game in over 600 days, the Quakers fell to No. 5 Louisville (4-0) in a 3-1 loss at Princeton’s Bedford Field. The game was highlighted by career firsts for many of the Quakers' younger players. Notably, sophomore Sabien Paumen made her collegiate debut in the net and totaled six saves in 60 minutes.
