Akshata, Deepika Jr two new faces in Indian women's hockey team for Germany tie

The Indian women are currently placed third in the FIH Pro League standings with nine points from four games

Defender Akshata Abaso Dhekale and striker Deepika Jr are the two new faces in a 22-member Indian women's hockey team, which will take on world no.5 Germany in the FIH Pro League matches on Saturday and Sunday.

BHUBANESWAR: Experienced Indian women's hockey team defender Nikki Pradhan feels the upcoming FIH Pro League clash against Germany would be a very "physical" battle but her side has what it takes to outwit the world no.5 outfit.

Additional Athletes Named to U.S U-21 Women’s National Team & U.S. Women’s National Development Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Following a Training Camp from February 23 to 27 in Chula Vista, Calif., the women’s Junior High Performance Staff has added five athletes to the U.S. U-21 Women’s National Team and another two to the U.S. Women’s National Development Team. These athletes were unable to attend the initial Selection Camp due to injury or travel restrictions and received an additional trial.
