'I wear the Indian jersey with pride, honour': PR Sreejesh on his 250th international cap

One of the best goalkeepers in the world, Sreejesh began his journey with the Indian Men's Hockey team in 2006 but became a regular feature of the team only since 2011.

Hockey India on Sunday congratulated PR Sreejesh on completing 250 international caps for India. The goalkeeper achieved this milestone during India's second match against Spain at the FIH Hockey Pro League on Sunday 27 February 2022 here at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Renovations to the hockey facilities at Wyndley Leisure Centre on the outskirts of Birmingham have been successfully completed, with the venue now possessing a International Hockey Federation-standard pitch.

NEW DELHI: A lot of activity happened between India's upset defeat against France in South Africa and the two Pro League games against Spain last weekend. The tone of affairs between Delhi and Bhubaneswar was one of 'damage control', especially because it followed a tersely worded letter to Hockey India (HI) that labelled India's performance since the Tokyo Olympics bronze medal as "unacceptable".

Val Robinson, who has died aged 80, was one of Britain’s best hockey players, appearing 149 times for England and 21 times for Great Britain over more than two decades from 1963 to 1984.
