Croatia look to inspire home crowd in men’s Championship II-A

Men’s EuroHockey Indoor Championship II-A (Sveti Ivan Zelina, Croatia) – January 9 to 11, 2026

Chennai: HIL GC defeated Shrachi Bengal Tigers 6-3 in a high-scoring Men’s Hero Hockey India League 2025-26 clash at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday. Kane Russell (19', 36', 44'), Sam Ward (19'), Sudeep Chirmako (38') and James Albery (59') scored the goals for HIL GC while Captain Jugraj Singh (12'), Tom Grambusch (40') and Christopher Ruhr (40') were the goalscorers for Shrachi Bengal Tigers.

Kane Russell struck thrice from Penalty Corners, rescuing GC after it conceded first and helping it thwart a late comeback from the defending champion.

HIL Governing Council needed another Kane Russell hat-trick to overturn a deficit for a second straight game and beat Bengal Tigers 6-3 in the Hockey India League at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.



Ranchi Royals goes down against Hyderabad Toofans after squandering two-goal lead

Ranchi: JSW Soorma Hockey Club signed off their Women’s Hero Hockey India League 2025-26 campaign with a spirited 3–2 victory over finalists Shrachi Bengal Tigers at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi on Tuesday.

Soorma Hockey Club’s Sonam opened the scoring, taking her goal tally in the league to five, making her the joint highest all-time goalscorer alongside Yibbi Jansen and Charlotte Englebert.
