Malaysia secure bronze playoff spot in Tuanku Zara Cup

KUALA LUMPUR: The national women's indoor hockey team edged New Zealand 5-4 today, securing a spot in the bronze medal playoff in the Tuanku Zara Cup at Indera Mulia Stadium in Ipoh.





South Africa Indoor Hockey Women to face Switzerland in Tuanku Zara Cup Final



The South African Indoor Hockey Women had already confirmed their spot in the final when they took on the Swiss on Friday morning in Malaysia. For Switzerland a shock defeat to Malaysia had meant that this game was a must win in order to themselves qualify for the gold medal match.

Sammy Popper faced the net as the Terps set up for their second penalty corner of the NCAA Tournament. The graduate student received an insert from Margot Lawn and drove the ball from the top of the shooting circle into the back of the net.





#17 ODU Field Hockey Falls To #4 Maryland In NCAA Tournament



COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The #17 Old Dominion Field Hockey team fell to #4 Maryland, 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. The Monarchs outshot Maryland,10-7 and also took more corners, 5-3.

CHAPEL HILL, NC – No. 9 Harvard field hockey defeated No. 6 Rutgers 2-1 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this afternoon. Harvard had stellar goaltending from Tessa Shahbo and goals from Emily Guckian and Bronte-May Brough to help send the Crimson to the elite eight. Harvard will advance and play host No. 1 UNC on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. with a spot in the final four up for grabs. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
