Indian Sub Junior Teams shine in maiden Tour: Women secure 3-2 victory, Men dominant with 8-0 win against EDE



Netherlands: The Indian Sub Junior Women’s Team (U17) and Sub Junior Men’s Team (U17) both began their historic maiden tour with victories in their respective matches against the Senior EDE Women’s and Men’s teams. The Women’s team won 3-2 while the Men’s team won 8-0 as the victories in foreign conditions augured well for the squads gearing up for the remainder of the campaign.





Hockey fever grips Jharkhand as mascot 'Juhi' unveiled for Jharkhand Women's Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023; Trophy Tour begins from Ranchi

The event also marked the launch of the Trophy Tour from Ranchi; to take place between 13th October and 25th October



Ranchi: Shri Hemant Soren, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand, today, unveiled the mascot for the Jharkhand Women's Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023 at the Project Bhawan in Dhurva, Ranchi, Jharkhand. The mascot, named 'Juhi' is inspired by the popular elephant at Betla National Park.

On Friday, The No. 3 North Carolina field hockey team (10-2, 4-0 ACC) got back into the win column with a 4-1 road victory over No. 13 Syracuse (9-4, 1-3 ACC).





FH Earns Balanced Win At Syracuse



SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Balanced scoring and staunch defense earned the third-ranked North Carolina field hockey team a 4-1 victory over No. 13 Syracuse Friday afternoon in an Atlantic Coast Conference battle at J.S. Coyne Field. The Tar Heels led 4-0 on goals by four different players before the Orange got on the board with a penalty stroke with 44 seconds to play in the game.





Ohio Field Hockey Dominates Central Michigan, 5-0



MT. PLEASANT, Michigan – The Ohio field hockey team (5-6) dominated the Chippewas of Central Michigan (1-12) Friday (Oct. 13) by a score of 5-0. This was the Bobcats' largest ever win against the Chippewas and second shutout of the season, after they won 7-0 against Longwood Sept. 2

Davidson, N.C. -- Grad Student Jess Beech netted a dagger late in the fourth to quarter to lift Massachusetts (9-6, 3-2) to a 3-2 victory over Davidson (5-10, 0-5) on Friday night in North Carolina.

Chhattisgarh: The fifth day of the 1st Hockey India Sub Junior Men & Women West Zone Championship 2023 in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, witnessed the match between Hockey Gujarat and Hockey Rajasthan ending in a draw, while Hockey Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Hockey register wins in their respective matches in the Sub Junior Women’s category.  





Day 2 Results: 1st Hockey India Junior and Sub Junior Women Academy Championship 2023 – (Zone A)



Gwalior: The second day of the 1st Hockey India Junior and Sub Junior Women Academy Championship 2023 – (Zone A), saw Meghbaran Singh Hockey Academy win while Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy and Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy played out a draw in their respective matches in the Sub Junior Women’s category. HIM Academy and Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy emerged victorious in their respective games in the Junior Women’s category.
