EuroHockey Championships 2023: Battle for Olympic Qualification set to get underway
From 18-27 August, the EuroHockey Championship 2023 (men and women) will be played in Mönchengladbach, Germany, with the winners joining France and Australia in qualifying for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Back in time: Germany’s treble
Germany broke Dutch hearts in 1999 for the third time in succession thanks to an 8-7 win on penalty stokes in Padua, Italy. Four years previously, the Germans had also won on strokes. The Spanish fared little better in 2003 as, for the third time, the stout Germans also lifted the trophy on penalty strokes.
