Narrow defeat for Scotland women against England in Bisham

New Delhi: Indian Men’s Hockey Team forward Dilpreet Singh has been nominated for the Poligras Magic Skill Award for his no-look overhead shot against World Champions Germany during the 2022-23 FIH Hockey Pro League season. The nominations for the Poligras Magic Skill Award for the 2022/23 FIH Hockey Pro League season were released on Monday, and the deadline to vote is 19th July at 3:30 a.m. IST. The winner will be announced on 21st July. The Poligras Magic Skill Award is decided by hockey viewers based on who they think had the best moment during the season.
Pakistan set to host first FIH event for 20 years with Paris 2024 hockey qualifier

China, Pakistan, and Spain are due to host the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Olympic Qualification Tournaments from January 13 to 21 next year.
Pakistan to host 2024 Olympic hockey qualifying tournament
LAHORE: After a 19-year hiatus, Pakistan on Monday was granted the rights of hosting a notable event by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
Without Asian Games gold, India will need wins in Pakistan, China or Spain
The FIH said China, Pakistan and Spain will host the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers in January 2024 to decide the last teams in the Paris Olympics. 
If India do not win the Asian Games gold medal, their next chance of securing a place in the Paris Olympics would be to earn a top-3 finish in the qualifying event in Pakistan in January 2024.
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) confirmed on Monday that China, Pakistan and Spain will host the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers taking place from 13 to 21 January 2024.

New Delhi: Indian Men’s Hockey Team Captain Harmanpreet Singh credited teamwork after finishing as the leading scorer in the recently concluded 2022-23 FIH Hockey Pro League. Harman finished the competition as the tournament's top scorer with 18 goals. The ace dragflicker was also the tournament's leading goal-scorer in the previous edition, scoring 18 goals in the previous edition as well. Harmanpreet was followed by Belgian Hendrickx Alexander, who scored 13 goals in the tournament, and British Bandurak Nicholas, who scored 12 goals in 16 games in the 2022-23 FIH Hockey Pro League.

Coach Mark Tumilty has announced the 18 players who will represent Ireland in the European Championship II which Ireland will be hosting at the National Sports Campus in Abbotstown between July 23-29, 2023.
Men´s final day sold out
The men's final of the EuroHockey Championships 2023, which will take place from 18th to 27th August 2023 in the SparkassenPark in Mönchengladbach, is sold out. 9,500 spectators will see which men’s team will be crowned the new European Hockey Champions on 27th August from 15:00. All in all, six weeks before the start of the EuroHockey Championships 2023, the German Hockey Association is looking at encouraging ticket sales for the first major hockey event in Germany in 12 years. Only a few tickets are still available on a few more days. Fans should hurry if they want to be part of the 2023 hockey party.

The Air Hockey Tour through North Rhine-Westphalia in the run-up to the EuroHockey Championships 2023
We want to open up the game of hockey to everyone, generate interest in the sport of hockey, but most importantly, generate interest in hockey in the club! The Air Hockey Tour is in full swing and has already made its third stop. Tour stops include other major sporting events, city festivals and unusual locations such as the State Garden Show in Höxter. The aim is to present and involve local hockey clubs. In this way, the sport of hockey in NRW is to be brought more into focus.

Q&A with Justine Branco
Experienced athletic therapist answers recovery and performance questions leading up to Nationals 2023
As twenty-two teams across the country from six provinces gear up for The Canadian Nationals 2023, we sat down with an experienced athletic therapist, Justine Branco, to ask a few questions on performance and recovery. Justine Branco is a certified athletic therapist as well as a certified strength & conditioning specialist. Branco works with the Junior Women’s National Team and the Indoor Women’s National Team. In addition, Branco acts as assistant athletic therapist at Seneca College, working with 13 varsity teams. She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Toronto in 2014 where she also played 5 years as a member of U of T’s Varsity Blues Women’s Field Hockey Team. Branco also obtained a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences, specializing in Athletic Therapy in 2017 from Sheridan College.
