Four USA Umpires & Technical Staff Appointed to 2023 Junior Pan American Championships



SAINT MICHAEL, Barbados – USA Field Hockey is excited to announce that four umpires and technical staff members have been appointed to the 2023 Junior Pan American Championships. Taking place April 10 to 18 at the Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex in Saint Michael, Barbados, this is the most USA representation at this junior men’s and women’s qualifying event since 1997.

New Delhi: The action in the 1st Hockey India Junior Men Zonal Championships 2023 continued today in the North, South, East, and West Zones with Uttar Pradesh Hockey, Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Andhra Pradesh, Kerala Hockey, Hockey Jharkhand, and Hockey Association of Odisha registering victories in their respective Zones.

New Delhi: The action in the 1st Hockey India Junior Women Zonal Championships 2023 continued today in the North, South, East, and West Zones with Hockey Haryana, Hockey Uttarakhand, Hockey Punjab, Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu, Kerala Hockey, Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Hockey Bengal, Hockey Association of Odisha, and Hockey Mizoram registering wins on Day 5 in their respective zones.

Lahore Qalandars pace up preparations for hockey league



LAHORE - The PSL 8 champions Lahore Qalandars are now focused to promote hockey in Pakistan as they have paced up the preparations to host the first-ever Professional Hockey League. Qalandars’ owners Atif Rana and Sameen Rana alongside Director Aqib Javed met Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary Haider Hussain and former Olympian Shahbaz Senior at their office. During the meeting, the hockey league was on top of the discussion. Qalandars’ high-ups shared their plan of introducing a players’ development program in hockey. The Qalandars owners want to work for hockey in the way they did for cricket. After seven years of hard work, Qalandars bagged back-to-back PSL titles.

Over the past three years, Sierra and Sydney Blackburn have traded in stick and ring for stick and ball. The Kitchener, Ontario natives, twin sisters and former ringette players have found a home on the U18 Junior National Team that departs for France on April 12.

Korea: The Indian Women's Hockey Team midfielder Salima Tete was honoured with the AHF Emerging Player of the Year Award for her spectacular performance in the year 2022 on Friday. The 20-year-old was presented with the award at the Asian Hockey Federation's Annual General Meeting that took place in Korea.





Salima Tete appointed as the AHF Athletes Ambassador



New Delhi: The Indian Women's Hockey Team midfielder Salima Tete was appointed as the AHF Athletes Ambassador from India for a term of two years between March 25, 2023, to March 25, 2025. The certificate and the position were accepted by Salima Tete during the AHF Congress held in Mungyeong, Korea on Thursday.

The erstwhile continental federation on Friday awarded Bhola Nath Singh, Secretary General Hockey India, with the prestigious Emerging Sport Leader Award.

New Delhi:  Hockey India on Thursday was awarded with the Best Organiser Award by the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) for their exemplary execution of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar-Rourkela as the host nation. The award was received by Hockey India Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh during the AHF Congress held in Mungyeong, Korea.

New Delhi: Hockey India on Friday congratulated Shri Bhola Nath Singh, Secretary General Hockey India, Smt Joydeep Kaur, Athlete Representative Hockey India, on their induction into the erstwhile Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Executive Board as its newly-elected Vice President and Athlete Representative, respectively, during the AHF Congress held in Mungyeong, Korea. In addition to the above, Smt Bigan Soy, an Indian goalkeeper, who was part of India’s Bronze medal winning campaign at the Ergo Hockey Junior World Cup – Women Mönchengladbach, Germany, 2023, has been appointed as a Member of the AHF Women's Advisory Panel.
