Ockenden to carry flag at Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony



The decorated career of Kookaburras co-captain Eddie Ockenden has another chapter after he was announced as one of Australia’s two flagbearers for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.





Hockey team captain Manpreet named flag-bearer along with Sindhu

Birmingham: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has selected Manpreet Singh, the captain of the men's hockey team, as co-flagbearer of Team India for the opening ceremony of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games alongside badminton star P.V. Sindhu.

Eight Tar Heels Named To Field Hockey National Team


Paityn Wirth, pictured competing for the U.S. earlier this year, is one of eight Tar Heels on the 2022-23 National Team.

Eight Tar Heels, including five who are part of the 2022 UNC roster, have been named to the 2022-23 U.S. Women's National Field Hockey Team, announced on Tuesday.
