Lausanne, Switzerland: Dr Narinder Dhruv Batra has today informed the Members of the Executive Board (EB) of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) of his resignation from the post of FIH President which he currently holds.

Narinder Batra has resigned as President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), citing personal reasons, and also quit as head of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) with immediate effect.

Yesterday the President of the FIH Narinder Dhruv Batra resigned from his position as head of the world sport. He did the honourable thing.





Narinder Batra’s former office at IOA raided by CBI

Batra ceased to be President of the IOA when the Delhi High Court, on May 25, struck down the post of ‘Life member’ in Hockey India.

Veteran sports administrator Narinder Batra’s former office at the Indian Olympic Association headquarters and the Hockey India office here were on Monday raided by CBI officials who claimed to have “recovered incriminating documents and records” relating to an alleged misappropriation of funds.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Narinder Batra, the former president of the Indian Olympic Committee (IOA) and Hockey India, and four others for misappropriation of funds.

While the fans still celebrate (or mourn) the Netherlands taking a 3rd world cup in a row in women’s hockey… For the more engaged follower of our sport the day after was marked by the resignation of Narinder Batra as FIH president. Batra also resigned from his roles as president of the Indian Olympic Association and his membership of the IOC. He cites personal reasons, which can be translated into the recent court order in Delhi stating he was in the wrong on several accounts that secured his power in the world of sports and the ongoing corruption allegations. The national association of Hockey India is currently run by 3 independent administrators, as ordered by the court, until they manage to run elections and appointments the right way. If they do not get their house in order soon, it might even jeopardise the upcoming men’s world cup in January 2023,

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - It was fun in the sun, and heat, at the seventh 2022 Summer Bash at the Beach (SBB), presented by YOLO Sportswear, and run by Hometown Sports, this past weekend at the Virginia Beach Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. This year’s event included U-10 Co-Ed, U-12 Co-Ed and U-14 Girls divisions who competed in the three-day event while playing 7v7 on a water-based surface.
