New Hockeyroos show character in comeback against Black Sticks



A youthful and largely inexperienced Hockeyroos outfit has shown plenty of promise, fighting back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with the Vantage Black Sticks in the opening match of the 4-match Trans-Tasman Series in Auckland.

Netherlands Matches Moved to Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre




England’s FIH Hockey Pro League fixtures against the Netherlands – scheduled for the Twickenham Stoop on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June 2022 - will now be played at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre with the same dates and times. England Hockey have made the decision to switch venues, in agreement with Harlequins.

The future of Big Stadium Hockey was dealt a damaging blow on Tuesday after England Hockey was forced to switch its men’s and women’s Pro League encounters with the Netherlands from Twickenham Stoop to Lee Valley due to poor ticket sales.





SA Hockey Women named for FIH Hockey World Cup



South African Hockey have today announced the SA Women’s Hockey Squad for the FIH Hockey World Cup in Spain and Netherlands. The 2022 event is the 15th occurrence of the quadrennial world championship. It also marks the 7th consecutive appearance for South Africa having secured their spot with a victory in Ghana at the African Cup of Nations.
