SA Hockey feature in FIH Favourites list

The South African Hockey Men had a glowing 2021 which captured the hearts of the global hockey family. The reward for the performances was inclusion in the 2021 FIH Favourites top 10 lists. We are pleased to share that South Africa have been announced in the top 3 of both!

Savita Punia, captain of the Indian team that will defend the Women’s Asia Cup title in Muscat, makes two landmark achievements along with the leadership role – she is the first goalkeeper to lead India at the Asia Cup,  and secondly is only the second Indian women hockey player after Surinder Kaur to figure in a record fourth Asia Cup.

Scottish Hockey comment on restrictions on indoor sports

In collaboration with our colleagues across the sports governing body landscape, we have made written representations to the Scottish Government to consider the current restrictions on indoor sports activity, with a view to these restrictions being lifted on the 17th January.
