The 2026 Men’s and Women’s Hockey World Cup is down the final stretch, as the Wagener Stadium in Amsterdam and Belfius Hockey Arena in Wavre stage the medal matches on a long weekend of showpiece sport.
World Cup: 40 matches, 32 wins and 201 goals underline the attacking trend

The first 40 matches of the Men’s Hockey World Cup have produced a tournament rich in goals, decisive results and an unmistakable attacking flavour. Of the 40 matches played so far, 32 have produced winners while eight have ended in draws, meaning that 80 per cent of the encounters have been decided outrightly.
