In just two days, 16 men's and 16 women's teams will take the pitch in Belgium and the Netherlands for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup! The two-week-long nonstop action will showcase the world’s finest athletes as they battle for the coveted World Cup trophy and the opportunity to etch their names into hockey history. The No. 11 U.S. Women's National Team start their journey on Saturday, August 15 at Belfius Hockey Arena in Wavre, Belgium. Below is everything you need to know before the first match!

The legendary P R Sreejesh has advised the Indian men's hockey team to leave behind the unnecessary jersey controversy and off-field noises and focus on ending the country's 50-year World Cup medal drought in next month's quadrennial event in the Netherlands and Belgium. The two-time Olympic bronze medallist said there was nothing unusual about changing jersey colours, noting that India had worn different kits at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
