Amstelveen: The Indian Men’s Hockey Team went down fighting 2-3 against the Netherlands in a thrilling FIH Hockey Pro League 2024/25 (Men’s) at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. Abhishek (20') and Jugraj Singh (54') netted a goal each for India, while Thijs van Dam (24’), Tjep Hoedemakers (33’), and Jip Janssen (57’) were the goalscorers for the Netherlands.

Moments later, on the other end of the ground, Abhishek squealed as he went down after being fiercely hit in the abdominal region. Soon after half-time, Manpreet Singh clattered into an outstretched Dutch midfielder, as both chased a free ball, feeling the impact near his knee. And then, with just 1 minute, 37 seconds left in the match, Sumit held his face after being accidentally punched by Floris Wortelboer.
