Pakistan in men's hockey Asian Champions Trophy

Pakistan participated in all the seven editions of the men's hockey Asian Champions Trophy won gold medals three times 2012, 2013 and 2018 (joint winners with India after the final match was totally washed out due to heavy rain).
Pakistan won the silver medals twice, in 2011 and 2016.

Pakistan played five final matches, are as follows
2011 - Pakistan 0-0 India (PS 2-4) (for Pakistan Abdul Haseem Khan and Shafqat Rasool missed their penalty strokes) in Ordos, China

2012 - Pakistan 5-4 India (for Pakistan Muhammad Waqas, Shafqat Rasool, Rashid Mehmood and Muhammad Ateeq scored the golden goal, and for India SV Sunil VR Raghunath, GS Chandi and Rupinder Pal Singh scored goals) in Doha, Qatar

2013 - Pakistan 3-1 Japan (for Pakistan Muhammad Rizwan, Abdul Haseem Khan and Ammad Butt scored goals, and for Japan Kei Kawakami scored the only goal) in Kakamigahara, Japan

2016 - Pakistan 2-3 India (for Pakistan Aleem Bilal and Ali Shan scored goals, and for India Rupinder Pal Singh, Affan Yousuf and Nikkin Thimaiah scored goals) in Kuantan, Malaysia

2018 - Pakistan v India (The final match was totally washed out due to heavy rain, both India and Pakistan were declared the joint winners) in Muscat, Oman

Hockey India announces grant of Rs 2 lakh for unemployed players in Men's and Women's Senior Core Probable Groups

The decision was taken during Hockey India's Annual General Meeting in Lucknow today



Lucknow: In a bid to financially help players sustain their career in sport, Hockey India has taken an instrumental decision to provide a grant of Rs 2 Lakh for members of the Indian Men and Women's Core Probable Group who have not yet landed a job in Government departments or Public Sector Units (PSU). The decision was taken during the Annual General Meeting held in Lucknow today.
