SPAR South Africa Fall to Namibia in Opening Test



The SPAR South African Women’s Indoor Hockey team began their five-match series against Namibia with a 3–0 defeat at the Sports Facilitation Centre in Windhoek on Friday evening.

With international debuts on the horizon, the South African women’s indoor hockey team will renew one of African hockey’s most competitive rivalries when they take on Namibia in a five-match Test series at the Sports Facilitation Centre at the Windhoek Showgrounds in Windhoek, Namibia from Friday, 9 October to Sunday, 11 October 2026.

Match Schedule announced for Hero Asian Champions Trophy Punjab 2026

While the league stage of the tournament will be played in Jalandhar from October 27 to November 2, the semi-finals and the medal matches will be played in Mohali on November 4 and 5

Bangladesh have accepted an invitation to participate in the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy as a replacement for Pakistan, after the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) declined to send the national team to India amid heightened bilateral tensions.
