Belgium secure consolation ninth place on penultimate day of Men’s Junior World Cup



It wasn’t where they would have wanted to finish at the start of the tournament, but Belgium were nevertheless pleased to secure a consolation ninth place at the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Teenager Hugo Labouchere led the scoring chart in the Junior World Cup (JWC) as he was on target again against South Africa in the playoff for ninth placing today.

South Africa met with European heavyweights Belgium to contest 9th position and conclude their 2023 FIH Junior World Cup in Malaysia. The South Africans, who tested finalists Germany and France in the group stages had been fantastic in the 9-16 bracket.

Kathea Energy Nkosi Cup 2023 underway with two thrillers



The Kathea Energy Nkosi Cup, a new staple on the indoor hockey calendar, got underway in front of a capacity crowd at Wynberg Military base. What a thriller the opening two games produced as all four nations were represented in the opening exchanges.

Ireland staged an impressive comeback after trailing South Africa Indoor Women 4-nil at halftime in the Kathea Energy Nkosi Cup opener, including two back-to-back goals in the last five minutes of the match before hosts South Africa steeled their nerves to hold on for an inspiring 5-4 win at the tournament-opening encounter tie at the Wynberg Military Base Stadium in Cape Town on Friday, 15 December, 2023.

2023 WMH PACC Concludes, Three U.S. Masters Teams Fall to Argentina in Final



BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – The 2023 World Masters Hockey Pan American Continental Cup (PACC) concluded after nine days of competition in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Six U.S. Masters Teams participated, with the O-35 Men, O-35 Women, and O-50 Women ending the tournament with an appearance in the final.
