The 54th California Cup International Hockey Tournament begins on Friday morning at 7am with the start of competition in the Women’s Super Division at Moorpark College.
 
The 2026 edition of one of the oldest and largest field hockey tournaments in the world, more popularly known as the Cal Cup, will include 128 teams, consisting of over 1,500 athletes competing in 14 divisions ranging from Under-8 to Men/Women Super Divisions. The super divisions will feature current and former international players from Argentina, Australia, Canada, India, Mexico, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain and USA. Competition will take place at Moorpark College and Arroyo Vista Community Park, from May 22 through May 25.
 
Both super divisions' defending champions, Team Osaka for women and LA Kings for men, are returning to defend their titles and are considered favorites to repeat.
 
“We look forward to welcoming all the athletes, coaches, managers, umpires, and spectators to the 2026 Cal Cup for a wonderful Memorial Day weekend full of great competition and fun,” said Tom Harris, tournament founder.
 
In addition to $5,000 cash prize in super divisions, all players in the top three teams of each division will receive gold, silver, or bronze medals.
