BOONE, N.C. – North Carolina field hockey got big performances from its top playmakers in a dominant, 5-0 victory over Appalachian State on Sunday afternoon.

No. 1 North Carolina field hockey (10-0, 4-0 ACC) dominated App State (7-6, 4-1 MAC) in a 5-0 win at Adcock Field on Sunday afternoon.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Three first-half goals set the tone and a pair of fourth-quarter tallies sealed the result as the eighth-ranked Saint Joseph's field hockey team knocked off #3 Virginia, 5-2, at Turf Field on Sunday afternoon.

In its third top-15 matchup in two weeks, No. 3 field hockey faced off against No. 8 Saint Joseph’s at home Sunday. Thanks to massive fan turnout from both teams, the atmosphere was rife with tension, contributing to the back-and-forth bout between the Cavaliers (10-2, 4-1 ACC) and the Hawks (11-2, 3-1 A10). In the end, it was Saint Joseph’s that came away with the win, downing Virginia 5-2.

Mt. Pleasant, Mich. - Michigan State earned a road victory over Central Michigan on Sunday, posting a 3-1 victory over the Chippewas in Mt. Pleasant. The Spartans improve to 7-6 on the season. Spartan senior Emma O'Neill had a pair of goals in the contest.

The tide is shifting.
Penn women's field hockey shut out Dartmouth 3-0 in Hanover in a key game for the Ivy League standings. Prior to this game, Penn (3-8, 2-2 Ivy) had been in a four-way tie with Yale, Columbia, and Cornell for fourth place. But the win moves Penn ahead in the standings and gives it the opportunity to punch its ticket for the tournament. 
Field Hockey Defeats Queens for Fourth-Straight Win, 6-3

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Feisty and fearless. Those words encapsulated Ball State field hockey head coach Caitlin Walsh’s view of the Cardinals’ weekend in Michigan. In particular, those adjectives summed up the effort of Ball State’s 22 players against the University of Michigan Sunday. 
Spider Hockey Collects Senior Day Victory Over Georgetown
RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond celebrated the program's three seniors Sunday with a 3-1 victory over Georgetown at Crenshaw Field. Prior to the start of the game, Annie Nash, Jessica Mullin and Kristen Rake, along with their families, were recognized as impactful members of the Spider Hockey program the past four seasons.

JMU field hockey (9-2, 4-0 MAC) kept its five-game win streak and undefeated conference record intact after beating Kent State (3-9, 2-2 MAC). This game is the Dukes' third shutout of the season with redshirt freshman goalkeeper Molly Schreiner making three saves. 
Field Hockey Suffers Heartbreaker to Old Dominion in Overtime
NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion's Sanci Molkenboer managed to take an off-balanced shot that trickled past the James Madison defense for the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Monarchs a 3-2 home victory over the Dukes on Sunday afternoon at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex in non-conference field hockey action.
Field Hockey: Ohio goes scoreless against Penn State in 5-0 loss

Ohio (5-8) lost to Penn State (7-6) by a score of 5-0 Sunday afternoon in Athens. Ohio was held scoreless for the fourth time this season as the offense was relatively stagnant. In what has started to become a common theme in these past few games, Ohio's offense struggled to put up any points while the opponent's offense relentlessly attacked Ohio's goal. 
Hofstra Drops Home Contest Against Rider
Hempstead, NY – Teresa Karoff scored her fourth goal of the season just before halftime, but Rider came away with a 3-1 road win over the Hofstra field hockey team in non-conference action from Cindy Lewis Stadium Sunday afternoon.
