Currently on a hot streak, No. 3 Virginia field hockey took on No. 21 American in a neutral-site contest in College Park, Md. The Cavaliers (4-0, 0-0 ACC) survived the Eagles (2-4, 0-0 Patriot League) in a 3-2 overtime victory to remain undefeated this season.



No. 4 Duke field hockey snuffed out by No. 12 Liberty following defeat of No. 18 Old Dominion on the road

After facing three consecutive ranked opponents on the road over the past two weeks, Duke field hockey fell 1-0 to No. 12 Liberty in a battle of defensive prowess and missed opportunities Sunday afternoon.



No. 5 Maryland field hockey cruises past Lock Haven with 8-1 dominating win

Carly Hynd received a long pass down the left flank just over five minutes in. There was an abundance of space between Hynd and the cage, which the forward used to draw out goalkeeper Kelsey Felix.



No. 5 Maryland field hockey dominates Lock Haven, 8-1

In the final game of this year’s Terrapin Invitational, No. 5 Maryland field hockey finally had the offensive showing that the statistics suggested was in store. It hammered Lock Haven, 8-1.



No. 7 Field Hockey Earns Key Win Against No. 16 UConn



CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – An excellent offensive display lifted No. 7 Harvard field hockey to its first win at Berylson Field this season, as the Crimson defeated No. 16 UConn at home, 3-2. With the win, Harvard now has two victories against ranked opponents in 2024.



Miami Falls 6-1 to No. 11 Rutgers



PISCATAWAY, NJ – On Sunday afternoon No. 11 Rutgers University took down the Miami University field hockey team 6-1. The Scarlet Knights improve to 3-2 and the RedHawks drop to 3-3.



First-Half Goals Lead to #19 Field Hockey Win

Ohio Field Hockey Defeats St. Louis 5-1 in Home Opener



ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio field hockey team defeated St. Louis 5-1 in its season opener Sunday (Sept. 15) afternoon. Five different Bobcats scored a goal in the win.

Boston, MA - The University of Maine field hockey program was defeated by Boston University on Sunday afternoon, 2-1.



Knull Wins 100th in 5-0 Win Over Colgate



East Lansing, Mich. --  Michigan State earned a 5-0 victory over Colgate at home on Sunday, and in the process provided head coach Helen Knull her 100th career victory.  Bianca Pizano had a pair of goals for the Spartans (4-2), while Spartan sophomore Lyra Gavino earned her first career shutout.



Hofstra Outlasts LIU for Home Win



Hempstead, NY – A pair of fourth quarter goals from Teresa Karoff and Isabella Tassara helped the Hofstra field hockey team to a 3-2 win over LIU from Cindy Lewis Stadium.

The Massachusetts field hockey team won a 4-3 overtime thriller over in-state rival UMass Lowell on Sunday afternoon. Clare Danahy was the hero for the Minutewomen (4-2), scoring her second goal of the season to win the game in OT, bringing the Kennedy Cup back to Amherst for the first time since 2022.



Field hockey drops heartbreaker to Northeastern

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross field hockey team dropped a heartbreaker to Northeastern, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Hart Turf Field.



Ohio defeats Saint Louis in a dominant 5-1 outing

Ohio (3-3) defeated Saint Louis (0-4) by a score of 5-1. Ohio had a grasp on the game the entire time, with both its defense and offense making major contributions. The same can't be said for Saint Louis, though, as its defense could not fend off Ohio's aggressive offensive attack.

With the salutatory goal coming just 59 seconds into the game, the Michigan field hockey team expected, and was in position, to beat its less-talented opponent. And just two and a half minutes after the first, a second early goal came for the Wolverines and Central Michigan’s defeat became a foregone conclusion.

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania field hockey team fell in its second City 6 game of the season, as No. 13 Saint Joseph's came away with a 5-1 win Sunday afternoon at Ellen Ryan Field on Hawk Hill.



Field Hockey Falls 3-2 Against Rider



TOWSON, Md. – Georgetown University's field hockey team dropped a hard-fought 3-2 decision against Rider in a neutral site game at Towson on Sunday afternoon. The Hoyas fall to 1-4 overall while the Broncs improve to 3-3 on the year.

#14 Syracuse Field Hockey defeats Lafayette 2-1

Today in 14th ranked Syracuse field hockey’s two one win over Lafayette, the Orange jumped ahead early thanks to a penalty stroke eight and a half minutes in from Bo Madden. Then for 45 minutes, there was no scoring in the contest. Lafayette would tie up the game with three and a half minutes to go, but Syracuse defender Bo van Kempen just needed one shot off an attacking penalty corner with 30 seconds to go to give the orange the win.

UC Davis Falls To Cal In First Road Match



The short story: UC Davis field hockey went down 2-0 to the California Golden Bears in their first away game of the season.



Field Hockey Takes down Yale in Overtime



PROVIDENCE, R.I. –Juliette Meijaard and Katie McCallum scored for the Bears (1-3, 1-0 Ivy), battling through regulation and two overtimes, beating Yale (3-1, 0-1 Ivy), and carrying Brown to their first win of the season, and first conference win.



Two Goals in Two Minutes Lead Field Hockey to 2-1 Win Over Columbia



NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Bucknell Bison field hockey team (2-4) rebounded with a solid 2-1 win over the tough Ivy League Columbia Lions (1-2) on Sunday afternoon. The Orange & Blue scored two goals in two minutes to build a 2-0 lead. Columbia tallied a goal in response but Bucknell held strong and clinched its second win of 2024. Gianna Puorro and Sally Hunter notched goals for the Bison. It was Hunter's second goal of the season, as the freshman tied for Lily Neilson's scoring lead with two.
